Ads
Ads are one off the most important sections of post-production work.
From being engaging to creative, ads can showcase a sound designers skills.
Beauty Ad
Beauty ads are soft. They are full of chimes and
small details. When you encounter beauty ads, they are
full of whooshes, motifs, and organic sounds. While creating this beauty ad, I wanted to showcase my attention to detail. I wanted the viewer to experience the satisfaction of the product with a recreation of ASMR.
This sound design contains foley, as well as sound design.

Slap-Stick
There are some ads that have a comedic storyline.
These ads must have cartoonish sound effects and they must be able to maintain the attention of the viewer. With this grab ad, I wanted to showcase my take on comedic ads.

Action Ad
Action ads are full of chaotic sounds. They are either used for action movies or games. PubG is a shooting game which is very popular in Malaysia. There are ads that are catered specifically to the Malaysian audience.
This ad contains Shooting scenes and animated scenes. It has a contrast of busy and quiet scenes. By doing this ad I wanted to showcase my flexibility when it comes to different settings and atmospheres.
*Note: I was able to get the original dialogues from my friend.

Realistic Ad
In order to connect to the target audience better, some ads are very realistic and emotional. These ads require organic sound effects. Organic sound effects can either be recorded or used from sound libraries. My take on this realistic ad contains foley and library samples.
Most of the sound effects are foley.

Foley Orianted
For our skills to be tested, as part of our university assignments we had to work on an ad by doing foley work. This ad's sounds are mostly foley. The precut music was provided by our lecturer, Mr. Sel Gana.
Special Thanks to Mr Sel for helping me with this work.

Foley Only
This assessment was done in my internship in order to test my foley skills as an intern. With this assessment, I learned a lot of new skills when it comes to foleying and I was able to enhance my skills as a foley artist.
All of the sounds are foleyed and no pre-recorded sound was used.

Food Ad
The trick behind food ads is not only mesmerizing visuals but also enhancing sound to make the viewer hungry. This ad was an early university assignment. Even though I have grown a lot as a sound designer I am proud of my first ever work. I can see the flaws in my work, the missing sounds, the bad EQ's and so much more. It is no shame to show bad work, but it only shows the growth of the person.
